Peace -
For Ourselves,
Our Families, Our Communities and
the World

English German

In this beautiful book, Pujya Swamiji takes us through the levels of peace - internal, familial, community and global. He shows us how, at every level, to turn pieces into peace. This book is a must-read for anyone who is searching for inner peace or who wants to help bring peace to their family, community or world.

Advice, guidance, wisdom and spiritual truths are eternal and timeless. They have always been true and they will always continue to be true. Only their context and ways of application may slightly change due to time, place, and circumstance. Therefore, I humbly offer my gratitude and acknowledgments to the great saints, seers, and gurus who have been imparting these truths for millennia, and especially those who have been bringing this wisdom into modern day applicability. A few of the specific examples or parables I use have been told to me by these great saints…. I am sure you will find their examples inspiring and enlightening.

The mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram is one of the most prolific spiritual teachers of this century. Her collected works span numerous volumes of writings, speeches, poems, etc. Dr. Jayaswal, a lifelong devotee of Sri Aurbindo and the Mother has adeptly brought 50 years of teaching and thousand of pages of text into one rich volume. Yet, he has lost neither the profound essence of her message, nor the whimsy and joy that pervade her anecdotal details. this is a beautiful and incredible accomplishment. The teachings are arranged alphabetically, according to subject matte. The Mother focuses on stages of consciousness, on realms of existence, on types of education and on the various forms of yoga. This work is a must-read for anyone interested in Eastern philosophy, education, yoga, consciousness or in how to transcend our mundane, human existence.

We make many choices in our lives without ever questioning “why?” Choices like what religion we believe in, what our values are, what we eat... Perhaps we simply continue to live in the way we were raised; perhaps we automatically adopt our parents’ choices. Or, perhaps we rebel against how we were raised: our parents made one choice, so we will make the opposite. In either case, we rarely take the time to truly see why we are living the way we do. In this booklet, I want to take the opportunity to see why one of the most important choices we can make in life is what we eat -- do we choose to live as vegetarians or as meat eaters. I want to talk about the deep meanings be hind the choices we make – for ourselves, for our chi dren and for our planet — each time we put food in our bodies.

Divayata Na Panthe (On the Way to Divinity) is a new, inspiring collection of twenty-five of Pujya Swami Chidandand Saraswatiji's discourses given in the U.S.A., U.K. and Fiji. Directly transcribed from actual lectures Pujya Swamiji has given. The majority of these discourses are devoted to the 16th chapter of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, which explains man's true divinity and how to manifest that in one's life. Other enriching and uplifting topics include the ideal Guru-disciple relationship, and the joy inherent in complete surrender to God. As in His English book, Drops of Nectar, Pujya Swamiji's wisdom touches and enlightens every aspect of life. This book was brought forth with the generosity of Smt. Rekha Mashruwala, Louisville, KY and it was released in Louisville by Pujya sant Rameshbhai Oza in July, 1999.

He provides not only the historical and spiritual background behind the celebrations, but also teaches us how to take the real message and meaning of these holidays. He challenges us to not only celebrate, but also to be transformed during these "holy days." Additionally, the book includes information about fasting - why we fast, how to fast, true meaning of fasting - as well as information about common, specific fasts such as Ekadashi.
